"When God Made Me"
Very touching when Neil Young sang and played piano.
He wiped away a tear when he was done.
"When God Made Me" by Neil Young
"Was he thinkin' about my country
Or the c o l o r of my skin?
Was he thinkin' 'bout my religion
And the way I worshipped him?
Did he create just me in his image
Or every living thing?
When God made me
When God made me
Was he planning only for believers
Or for those who just have faith?
Did he envision all the wars
That were fought in his name?
Did he say there was only one way
To be close to him?
When God made me
When God made me
Did he give me the gift of love
To say who I could choose?
When God made me
When God made me
When God made me
When God made me
Did he give me the gift of voice
So some could silence me?
Did he give me the gift of vision
Not knowing what I might see?
Did he give me the gift of compassion
To help my fellow man?
When God made me
When God made me
When God made me
When God made me"

Good Call, Doctor
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/health/healthmain.html?in_article_id=372062&in_page_id=1774&in_a_source=
Years ago, when I was educating a patient on a low sodium low cholesterol heart diet he looked at his significant other and said "Just shoot me now!"
I explained to him I am doing as the doctor ordered to educate him on this diet.
I think he still smoked. He was 50 and looked 80. He had had a CABG x 4.
This means that 4 larger arteries had to be surgically removed from his legs and put near his heart! This kind of procedure may only "last" 10 years.
A few other times when I have had a good rapport with the patients, I have shared, it is pointless for me to educate you on this heart diet if you continue to smoke.
This Holiday and Vacation time, don't tell yourself it is okay to pig out.
Try to have some control over what you eat. Plan ahead that you will not go back for seconds. It is okay to have one bite of a sweet and toss it out. It is okay to say no thanks. There is no such thing as free food. Extra turns into body fat.

"Bush asks for patience over Iraq"
http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=578&u=/nm/20051130/pl_nm/iraq_bush_dc_9
"This will take time and patience," said Bush, who is under intense political pressure as U.S. military deaths in the war rise beyond 2,100 and his popularity sits at the lowest point of his presidency. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051201/ap_on_go_pr_wh/us_iraq
"T E R M I N A T I O N"
In the news again.....
ABORTION --"the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus; especially : the medical procedure of inducing expulsion of a human fetus to terminate a pregnancy"
FETUS --"In humans, the unborn young from the end of the eighth week after conception to the moment of birth, as distinguished from the earlier embryo"
EMBRYO--"In humans, the prefetal product of conception from implantation through the eighth week of development."
http://www.wprc.org/trimester1.phtml "Years ago, while giving an anesthetic for a ruptured tubal pregnancy (at two months) I was handed what I believed to be the smallest human being ever seen. The embryo sac was intact and transparent. Within the sac was a tiny human male, swimming extremely vigorously in the amnionic fluid, while attached to the wall by the umbilical cord. The tiny human was perfectly developed, with long, tapering fingers, feet and toes. It was almost transparent as regards to the skin, and the delicate arteries and veins were prominent to the ends of the fingers. The baby was extremely alive and did not look at all like the photos and drawings of 'embryos' which I have seen. "- Paul E. Rockwell, M.D.
This is not an easy subject, not an easy choice. Not clearly defined in the Bible, which I believe is God talking to humans. Tough since it is life within life. Tough when children become pregnant. Tough with all circumstances.
Very sad when abortion is used as the only form of birth control.Very sad when having sex has become a physical activity rather then something you treasure and store and ponder and save and only share with one life partner.
My personal belief is that no one should choose abortion.
Emotional scarring and guilt, I believe, outweigh any "benefit" to abortion.
No matter the circumstances, God chose to Bless Humans by giving them children. How sad to miss a Blessing from God.
Our laws don't make sense to me.
A woman can legally abort viable children, but if someone kills a pregnant woman that person is charged with double homicide!
btw: I DO NOT SUPPORT bombing abortion clinics!

We have been given a son who will be our ruler.
His names will be Wonderful Advisor
and Mighty God,
Eternal Father and Prince of Peace.
His power will never end; peace will last forever.
He will rule David's kingdom

HAPPY THANKSGIVING
**************
We are grateful for eyes that can see and ponder, for taste buds that know the sensuous pleasures of eating and drinking, for hands that hold and touch and feel, for ears that can delight in music and the voice of a friend, for an nose that can smell the aroma of newly mown grass or delicious food, and can also breathe the air that gives us life.
We are grateful for the treasure of loved ones whose hearts of openness and acceptance have encouraged us to be who we are. We are grateful for their faithfulness, for standing by us when our weaknesses stood out glaringly, for being there when we were most in need and for delighting with us in our good days and our joyful seasons.
We are grateful for the eyes of faith, for believing in then presence of God, giving us hope in our darkest days, encouraging us to listen to our spirit’s hunger, and reminding us to trust in the blessings of God’s presence in our most empty days.
We are grateful for the ongoing process of becoming who we are, for the seasons within, for the great adventure of life that challenges and comforts us at one and the same time.
We are grateful for the messengers of God—people, events, written or spoken words—that came to us at just the right time and helped us to grow.
We are grateful for God calling us to work with our gifts, grateful that we can be of service and use our talents in a responsible and just way.
We are grateful that we have the basic necessities of life, that we have the means and the ability to hear the cries of the poor and to respond with our abundance.
We are grateful for the miracle of life, for the garden of our earth, for the amazing grace of our history; we are grateful that we still have time to decide the fate of the world by our choices and our actions, grateful that we have it within our power to bring a divided world to peace.

We Need Peace NOW
I am disgusted with innocent being killed
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051121/ap_on_re_mi_ea/iraq
Proverbs 6:16-19 (New Living Translation)
17 haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that kill the innocent,
18 a heart that plots evil,
feet that race to do wrong,
19 a false witness who pours out lies,
a person who sows discord among brothers.
