We need to return to THE EARLY CHRISTIAN CHURCH which was AWESOME:
"Everyone around was in awe--all those wonders and signs done through the apostles! And all the believers lived in a wonderful harmony, holding everything in common. They sold whatever they owned and pooled their resources so that
EACH PERSON'S NEED WAS MET.
They followed a daily discipline of worship in the Temple followed by meals at home, every meal a celebration, exuberant and joyful, as they praised God. People in general liked what they saw. Every day their number grew as God added those who were saved."
--Acts 2:43-47
"The whole congregation of believers was united as one--one heart, one mind! They didn't even claim ownership of their own possessions. No one said, "That's mine; you can't have it." They shared everything. The apostles gave powerful witness to the resurrection of the Master Jesus, and grace was on all of them. And so it turned out that
NOT A PERSON AMONG THEM WAS NEEDY.
Those who owned fields or houses sold them and brought the price of the sale to the apostles and made an offering of it. The apostles then distributed it according to each person's need."
--Acts 4:32-35
REASONS TO BELONG TO A CHURCH FAMILY:
Galatians 6:2
Share each other's troubles and problems, and in this way obey the law of Christ.
Hebrews 10:25
Let us not stay away from church meetings. Some people are doing this all the time. Comfort each other as you see the day of His return coming near.
Galatians 6:9-10
9 Don't get tired of helping others. You will be rewarded when the time is right, if you don't give up. 10We should help people whenever we can, especially if they are followers of the Lord.
1 Thessalonians 5:9-13
9 God doesn't intend to punish us, but wants us to be saved by our Lord Jesus Christ. 10Christ died for us, so that we could live with him, whether we are alive or dead when he comes. 11That's why you must encourage and help each other, just as you are already doing. 12My friends, we ask you to be thoughtful of your leaders who work hard and tell you how to live for the Lord. 13Show them great respect and love because of their work. Try to get along with each other.

WORDS TO LIVE BY:

“My dear friends, you should be quick to listen and slow to speak or to get angry. If you are angry, you cannot do any of the good things that God wants done. You must stop doing anything immoral or evil. Instead be humble and accept the message that is planted in you to save you.”---James 1:19-25 (cev)
Romans 8: 26-28: (the message) "Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God's Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don't know how or what to pray, it doesn't matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good."
DON'T just PRETEND that you love others. Really LOVE them. HATE what is WRONG. STAND on the side of the GOOD.---Romans 12:9
"You can't whitewash your sins and get by with it; ==>> you find MERCY BY ADMITTING and leaving them."--Proverbs 28:13
"The LORD never even hears the prayers of the wicked, but he answers the prayers of all who OBEY him. A friendly smile makes you happy, and good news makes you feel strong. HEALTHY CORRECTION is good, and if you accept it, you will be WISE."---Proverbs 15:29-31
"Are God's PROMISES not enough for you, spoken so gently and tenderly? WHY do you let your EMOTIONS take over, lashing out and spitting fire, pitting your whole being against GOD by letting words like this come out of your mouth?"--Job 15:11-13 [The Message paraphrase,4/29/06]
"Behave like obedient children. Don't let your lives be controlled by your desires, as they used to be. Always live as God's holy people should, because God is the one who chose you, and he is holy."--1 Peter 1:14-15 (posted 4/27/06)
“We don't have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. He's been through weakness and testing, experienced it all--all but the sin. So let's walk right up to him and get what he is so ready to give. TAKE THE MERCY, ACCEPT THE HELP.” From Hebrews 4:15-16
15 Stop loving this evil world and all that it offers you, for when you love the world, you show that you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16 For the world offers only the LUST for physical pleasure, the LUST for everything we see, and PRIDE in our possessions. These are not from the Father. They are from this evil world. 17 And this world is fading away, along with everything it craves. But if you do the will of God, you will live forever.--1 John chapter 2
"Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns."--Philippians 4:6
"If you need wisdom--if you want to know what God wants you to do--ask him, and he will gladly tell you. He will not resent your asking."--James 1:5
"Treat others just as you want to be treated." Luke 6:31
"...I will heal this place and my people as well, and let them enjoy unending peace." Jeremiah 33:6
"My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth."--Psalm 121:2
MATTHEW 7:1-3-- Don't condemn others, and God won't condemn you. God will be as hard on you as you are on others! He will treat you exactly as you treat them. You can see the speck in your friend's eye, but you don't notice the log in your own eye.
MICAH 6:8-- The LORD God has told us what is right and what he demands: "See that justice is done, let mercy be your first concern, and humbly obey your God."
JAMES 1:17-- Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
JAMES 1:26-27-- If you claim to be religious but don't control your tongue, you are just fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless. Pure and lasting religion in the sight of God our Father means that we must care for orphans and widows in their troubles, and refuse to let the world corrupt us.
ECCLESIASTES 3:1-7-- There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep nd a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.
"Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others."--1 Timothy 6:18
"I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit."--Romans 15:13
"I am the way, the truth, and the life!" Jesus answered. "Without me, no one can go to the Father." --John 14:6
Jesus called a child over and had the child stand near him. 3 Then he said: I promise you this. If you don't change and become like a CHILD, you will never get into the kingdom of heaven. 4 But if you are as HUMBLE as this child, you are the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.   --Matthew 18: 2-4
If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.   --2 Chronicles 7:14  "Keep your heart pure. A pure heart is necessary to see God in each other. If you see God in each other, there is love for each other, then there is peace."--Mother Teresa 1910-1997, Nobel Peace Prize 1979
